About Us

My name is Tina Saxton, and I'm the founder of Gastronaut Tours. I have been a corporate travel agent for the past 22 years, specializing in the niche sector of entertainment travel. I have specialized in ‘high touch’ travel for many years and have a strong understanding of the intricacies of making travel elevated, comfortable and well-thought out. My husband Robert Belcham is a Chef and restauranteur in our hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia. After meeting Robert, travel became different. I started seeing things through the eyes of a Chef and it changed everything. My travel became so much more robust when understanding the recipes and foods in so much more depth, through him. Meeting farmers and producers, tastings menus I'd never dreamed of, gave me a tenfold understanding and appreciation of gastronomy around the world. 

In March of 2024 I left my corporate job of 22 years to start working for myself (still in travel) and to create Gastronaut Tours. I wanted to showcase Canada’s top culinary talent and pair it with my passion for luxury travel. It all just made sense.
